The Ostomy Association of
Boston is excited to announce a new and unique group for people with ostomies:
The OSTOMY ADVENTURE GROUP (OAG)! The
group, led by OAB Board member Shaughn Thomas is geared around building
confidence for people having ostomies through exciting and fun activities.
The group plans to meet monthly. Below
you’ll find descriptions for the group’s first 2 summer activities.

NEWCOMERS PEER SUPPORT MEETING
This group will meet regularly, on the fourth Thursday of
each every other month. Each meeting will be designed to respond to the needs of newcomers
to ostomy life, or life following a continent procedure. In addition to our
focus on giving special peer support for newcomers, we will occasionally give
focused attention to topics of special interest.
All newcomers, both before and after surgery, are welcome
to attend. Members of the Ostomy Association of Boston are welcome to come, both
to give and receive support. We welcome singles of all ages. Spouses,
significant others and family members are invited.
Please join us for this special opportunity to meet others in various stages of
recovery from surgery.
